Description
This exquisite round bonsai pot features a highly tactile, rustic surface that mimics the weathering of natural stone or bark. The clay body is rich in earthy, reddish-brown tones, typical of fine Tokoname stoneware, and has been crafted with vertical fluting that gives the vessel a chrysanthemum or shell-like silhouette. The rim is organically irregular, following the fluted contours, while the piece stands on three subtle, rounded feet that elevate the pot without distracting from its rugged aesthetic.
The rustic, unglazed finish makes this pot an exceptional choice for planting accent plants or wildflowers (kusamono) to accompany a larger display. It is also well-suited for a shohin-sized flowering tree, such as a Satsuki Azalea, or a rugged little pine in a literati style, where the pot’s texture will harmonize with the tree’s bark.

Her pottery is celebrated by collectors for its warmth and the delicate balance between rustic charm and refined execution.
